An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál B, Glasheen Boys' School, is a Roman Catholic primary school under the patronage of the Bishop of Cork.
The staff comprises one Administrative Principal, 18 Mainstream Teachers, 1 Special Class teacher, 13 SET teachers, 1 HSCL Teacher (Shared) & 14 SNAs, as well as a School Secretary & School Caretaker, employed under the 1978/79 scheme. There are Taxi Escorts also employed.
Our school strives to provide an inclusive, happy & secure environment, where the intellectual, spiritual, moral & cultural needs of the pupils are supported.
The roles & responsibilities of the post are determined by the 4 domains of leadership and Management, as set out in Circular 0044/2019.

Applicants must be fully registered with the Teaching Council and to reflect the size of the school, should have a minimum of 10 years teaching experience.
Candidates should:
*Demonstrate excellent people management, leadership and communication skills
*An in-depth knowledge of the Curriculum, the DEIS initiative, Inclusivity and a range of Teaching Experience.
*A proven ability to implement collaborative school-based initiatives & to demonstrate evidence of leadership
*Evidence of CPD
*Hold a recognised certificate in Religious Education & to support the Ethos of the school
* If shortlisted for interview, candidates will be required to provide proof of qualifications.
* The appointment is subject to current vetting requirements & Occupational Health screening.
CANVASSING of any kind, will lead to automatic DISQUALIFICATION
