Scoil Naisiunta Phádraig Naofa, Avoca is a Roman Catholic primary school under the patronage of the Most Reverend Dermot Farrell, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Dublin.
The staff comprises one Administrative Principal, seven mainstream teachers and three Special Education teachers.
Our school strives to provide a well-ordered, happy and secure atmosphere where the intellectual, spiritual, physical, moral and cultural needs of the pupils are identified and addressed. Our school plays an integral role in the village community of Avoca, Co. Wicklow.
The roles and responsibilities of the post are determined by the four domains of leadership and management as set out in Circular 0044/2019.

3. Leading school development
4. Developing leadership capacity
Applicants must be fully registered with the Teaching Council and have a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience.
Candidates should:
• Demonstrate excellent people management, leadership and
communication skills
• An in-depth knowledge of the Curriculum and a broad range of teaching
experience
• A proven ability to implement collaborative school-based initiatives
• Be competent in the area of policy development
• Evidence of continuous professional development
• Hold a recognised certificate in Religious Education and demonstrate a commitment to continue to lead and strengthen the Catholic ethos of the school
Candidates called to interview will be required to provide proof of qualifications.
The appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
