Croí na Coille Primary School is looking for a new teacher who is interested in a new and exciting challenge.This is a co-educational, multi denominational, child-centred primary school embracing the principles of Steiner Waldorf and forest school education. The school concentrates on developing the whole child and emphasises the importance of physical, emotional, social and spiritual development as much as intellectual development.
The objective at Croí na Coille is to help children reach their fullest potential by
providing a well-resourced, quality teaching and learning experience. The National Primary School curriculum is delivered by combining academic learning with outdoor play and Forest School activities.
The long term goal for the school is to achieve recognition from the Department of Education and Skills and follow the path of similar Steiner schools in Ireland.
The school is currently funded through school fees, fundraising and donations and is awaiting a roll number.
Criterion :
We are seeking a full time primary school teacher with enthusiasm and energy to help create an educational environment that nurtures the personal development of the whole child.
The successful candidate must have a primary teaching qualification and have experience or a keen interest in Steiner Waldorf approaches and teaching methods.
The interested candidate should understand the importance of learning through connecting with others and nature. Knowledge of outdoor learning strategies would be a great advantage.
This role will commence Aug 31st 2022, and will have classes from 2nd to 5th class in a low pupil to teacher ratio classroom.

To be part of further developing this amazing primary school that has been growing steadily since opening its doors in 2018 with 6 children to now having 32 children enrolled.
To work with an established BOM that is striving to achieve DES approval for Croí na Coille.
