An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Scoil Iosagain is a Catholic school. The successful candidate must hold the appropriate Certificate to teach Catholic Religious Education.

Scoil Iosagain is seeking to appoint a team player who is willing to contribute to the overall development of the school. The following skills, experience and qualifications are desirable:

· Probation

· Experience of teaching in a similar sized DEIS school
· Experience in Literacy Lift Off will be advantageous:


Three copies of the application form should be submitted. Applications should be clearly marked 'Application for Mainstream Teacher' on the outside of the envelope. Non-compliance with terms of the advertisement will automatically disqualify candidates.

Your application must also be accompanied by the contact details of a minimum of 3 professional references. Candidates called to interview will be required to provide proof of qualifications, Teaching Council registration and teaching practice grades. Appointment will be subject to Teaching Council Registration, current Garda Vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
