POST DETAILS

Title:
Train to Teach with Engage Education - Salaried route to a PGCE and QTS
Description:
*Trainee Teacher - Teacher Training*

Are you currently finishing your Bachelors degree and interested in teaching? Are you an SNA or Support Staff within a school that would be interested in training to teach?

Engage Education has a 2-year in-school training program which allows you to earn while you train and gain qualified teacher status. We are currently working with a trust of schools in the Buckinghamshire area of England that is seeking Secondary Trainees for their schools. Ideally, the schools require English, Maths, Science, Geography and Business trainees across 4 of their schools. There is no cost involved as you work - earn - learn all at the same time.

This two-year salaried route into teaching allows graduates to gain Qualified Teacher Status, through flexible learning in a school we will help you to choose.

This is a straightforward pathway for recent university graduates and anyone who has significant experience working with young people to enter the teaching profession.

Benefits:
Get paid to do your PGCE (internationally recognised)
Gain certified Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Train in a school you love and continue working there once you’ve qualified
Exclusive professional and personal Engage benefits
Free subject enhancement courses

*What does the training entail?*

You can complete this program over two years. In your first year, you will work full time in a local school as a Support Staff member, while receiving online and in-person expert training to prepare you for your first year as a teacher. This first year will include modules on:

Knowledge of The Teachers' Standards
Understanding of The Teachers' Standards
Reflective Summary of Learning linked to The Teachers' Standards
By the end of Year One, you’ll be ready to start teaching!

Year Two of the course gives you the essential knowledge and skills to excel in your teaching career. The modules included are:
Behaviour and Classroom Management
Curriculum Delivery and Assessment
Development of The Teachers' Standards
Evidence of practical teaching practice

Requirements:
We do require that you have the right to work in the UK - either be an Irish/British passport holder
Bachelors Degree Honours or equivalent (UK NARIC will be required).

Primary and Secondary: English and Maths - Leaving Certificate (Ordinary Level) – Grade C or above OR Leaving Certificate (Higher level) – Grade D or above
Passion for working in teaching on a long term basis.
Commitment to a 2-year program.
