An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

School of Divine Child is a Catholic Co-Educational Special School under the patronage of the Diocese of Cork and Ross. The School of the Divine Child (Lavanagh School) caters for children aged 4-18 with physical and multiple disabilities including children with severe and chronic health conditions.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for the management of 7 Teacher positions, 4 additional special subject teacher positions, 14 SNA positions and additional part-time staff members including bus escorts and ancillary staff. In addition, the Principal manages the relationships between school staff and nursing and clinical supports.
