An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The Red Door School are seeking to appoint a bus escort commencing immediately. The escort will accompany pupils on specialised bus transport from their homes to and from school.

The route operates between Tallaght – Monkstown

We are seeking a panel of escorts to provide long and short term relief cover on these routes. Routes are subject to change based on pupil addresses.
The contract will be for 15 hours, but is subject to change should pupils join/leave the service. Escorts must have their own transport to and from the drop off point.

The escort is responsible for the safety of the pupils on board the bus and will be required to assist them getting on and off the bus and securing appropriate seatbelts.
Experience working with children with autism and complex needs is desirable. Candidates will be expected to deal with parents and school staff in a professional way, they will need to communicate regarding pick ups/drop offs, illnesses, traffic, delays etc.
Appointment is subject to garda vetting and appropriate character references.
Salary is €13.40 per hour processed fortnightly and only during term time. Escorts are not paid during school holidays or midterm breaks.
