Primary Teachers

We are a growing school in Muscat, Oman with over 700 students and due to stronger than expected enrollment forecasts we need Grade 1 teachers (equivalent to Irish Senior Infants) and KG teachers (Junior Infants). The school is staffed by a mixture of exclusively Irish and British teachers and we follow the Emilia Reggio framework in KG (Aistear draws many elements from this approach) and Cambridge International in Grade 1 up. The Cambridge Curriculum is almost identical to the UK National Curriculum and is very similar to its Irish equivalent. Behaviour in general is excellent with supportive and interested parents.

Muscat, Oman is one of the most beautiful areas of the Middle East, often known as the Switzerland of the Gulf. Locals are warm, friendly and welcoming. The city itself is located on the warm waters of the Arabian Sea and bordered by the spectacular Hajar mountains. Life is a little less hectic than other areas of the Gulf and many of our teachers spend weekends hiking, camping, surfing or diving. The opportunity to save is very high.

Salary packages are competitive for the region with a housing allowance, relocation allowance (payable after arrival) and end of contract gratuity included. Visa costs are covered by the employer. An annual return flight plus medical insurance are also included as part of the overall package. 4 Star Hotel Accommodation and board is provided on arrival and help provided to find housing.
