An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Mary Queen of Ireland Girls Primary School is a Catholic School under the Patronage of the Bishop of Limerick and the Trusteeship of the Salesian Sisters. The School's ethos is centred around the teachings of St. John Bosco.
The Principal will have overall responsibility for the internal organisation of the school, including the assignment of roles and responsibilities to members of the teaching and non-teaching staff. Applicants should have in-depth knowledge of the curriculum and a broad range of teaching experience combined with a high level of understanding and knowledge of special education needs and of inclusion and diversity in education. A Special Class for the education of pupils with ASD will be opening in September.
Applicants for this post must have a certificate in Religious Education. Appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements and occupational health screening. A minimum of 3 eligible applications must be received in order for the competition to proceed.
