An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
St. Anne's Special School caters for pupils with moderate and severe and profound intellectual disabilities from ages 4-18 years. 8 Teachers and 21 SNAs facilitate individual programmes of instruction.
Applicants should have experience working with children and young people with Moderate and Severe and Profound I.D., autism, epilepsy, sensory processing difficulties and additional needs as well as children with physical disabilities, medical care needs and intimate care needs. Applicants should have knowledge and experience of managing challenging behaviours. Experience of visual communication support, LÁMH and positive behaviour support training is desirable.
