Glenasmole National School is a co-educational primary school under the patronage of the Catholic Archbishop of Dublin.
It is a vibrant school with strong community links. The Board of Management wishes to recruit a teaching Principal who possesses excellent leadership qualities and interpersonal skills, to lead the school effectively and efficiently in compliance with all relevant legislation. A thorough knowledge and experience of the Primary School Curriculum and Special Education is required.
The successful applicant should demonstrate an ability to work closely with teachers and other school staff as well as with external agencies and with the Board of Management. The successful applicant will be responsible for the management of all staff attached to the school.
Applicants should possess excellent interpersonal skills and a good understanding of school management and HR issues relating to the school. Other attributes include a detailed knowledge of Special Needs Education and curriculum differentiation.
Applicants must comply with the eligibility criteria for a Principalship as set out in Circular 44/2019 of the Department of Education and Skills.
