An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The Board of Management of Scoil Cholmcille (Blarney Street CBS) invites applications from highly dedicated candidates for 2 Special Needs Assistant positions. The first position is a Standard SNA Post and the second position is an Infant Day Post.
Blarney Street CBS is a Catholic DEIS Band 1 primary school under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Cork and under the Trusteeship of the Edmund Rice Schools Trust.
An SNA role in our school may involve working in our new special class for children with ASD or working across our school with several children who need a range of different kinds of support. Applicants should have experience of working with pupils with physical, sensory, learning and complex needs.
Applicants are invited to submit a valid certified copy of the panel form 1 (PF1) as outlined in circular 0036/2020.
This appointment will be subject to the checking and verification of references, meeting any Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) requirements and satisfactory Garda vetting. The SNA must agree to respect the Edmund Rice Ethos of the school. Please ensure that you fulfil the requirements of the advert so that your application can be considered.
The position is subject to the NCSE allocation and SENO review.
