The appointment is being made under the terms of Circular 0044/2019. The roles and responsibilities for this post relate to the four domains outlined,
1. Leading Teaching and Learning
2. Managing the Organisation
3.Leading School Development
4.Developing Leadership Capacity
In addition the following knowledge and competencies are desirable,
* Proven leadership skills
*An understanding and knowledge of leadership and management as it relates to
primary school.
*A high level of competence and experience in the area of policy development
*Excellent communication skills
*Proven ability to work as a member of a team in a collaborative manner
*Organisational capabilities in managing school resources and workload
*Understanding of and commitment to the ethos of a Catholic school
*Willingness to undertake Continuous Professional Development
The roles and responsibilities of this post are subject to review and change according to procedures outlined in Circular 0044/2019. The responsibilities of this role will require participation in the leadership role outside of the standard school day and outside of the standard school year.
Appointment will be subject to, but not limited to, satisfactory references, current and continuing Teaching Council registration, current vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
