Digital Learning Project Officer
Camara Education Ireland addresses the need for educators to use effective technology solutions to unlock 21st Century learning opportunities for all young people. Our approach provides a custom response to training, support and infrastructure in schools, implementing government policy and best practice. We are unique in our presence across formal and non-formal education sectors.
As a social enterprise organisation in the education sector, in the last year alone we have worked with over 1,800 schools and youth organisations to help them effectively integrate technology as a learning tool. Our customised solutions have helped over 9,000 educators to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to use digital tools to enhance their practice. We have delivered 7,500 devices to support the use of digital technologies in these educational settings.
For this role, we are seeking an enthusiastic and capable individual to join our team and work primarily with schools to support teachers to develop a creative digital learning environment.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work as part of a team to ensure a range of deliverables are achieved across our project and social enterprise activities including:
Project Management
Plan and deliver professional development opportunities and events
Deliver our services and products to organisations across the education sector
Design new programmes in response to emerging needs
Collect and monitor feedback from participants to ensure a high standards are maintained
Stakeholder Engagement
Manage relationships with multiple education practitioners and organisations
Quality monitoring of the project with teachers, youth workers, volunteers and young people
Research & Development
Engage in continued professional development to stay current with developments in the technology sector
Keep a watching brief on emerging technologies and develop proposals and opportunities to innovate
Marketing & Communication
Seek speaking opportunities at relevant events
Contribute content to organisational platforms
Requirements
3rd Level qualification in education
Primary and/or Post-Primary Classroom Teaching experience
Understanding of current Education Policy and Strategy in Ireland
Experienced facilitator of creative digital approaches to learning.
Desirable
Experience of working collaborative with peer networks
Experience in project management
Accreditation educational software
Skills & Competencies
Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills
Strong technical skills across digital equipment, tools and creative softwares.
Creative thinker and problem solver with the ability to be resourceful, think quickly, work flexibly, adapt to changing situations
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills with confidence to initiate in person contact with educators to build a community of digital youth work practitioners.
Foster strong relationships with external funders and partners.
Excellent organisational, time management and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable working with colleagues remotely located.
Additional Information
Full-time permanent contract
A full, clean driver’s licence is preferable as the role will involve travel when restrictions lift
Garda Vetting is required for this role
The role is based at Camara Ireland’s Dublin office in Guinness Enterprise Centre, Dublin 8
The successful candidate will receive full training and support
Salary €34,000 - €36,000 per annum
