Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The position is for a fulltime SNA post.
Immediate duties for the post will be in special classes, however, the successful candidate can be allocated to any SNA role in the school at any time, at the discretion of the school principal.

We are a student-centred school and enabling each child to reach their full potential is one of our core aims.
Criteria for this position are as follows:
1. Relevant qualifications and experience - Applicants must have the minimum qualification necessary for appointment as a Special Needs Assistant. An additional qualification in additional/special needs care and/or education, including autism or a related area is advantageous.
2. Knowledge and experience of working with students with SEBD,
3. Knowledge and experience of working with students with ASD, ODD, ADHD, PDA, school refusal and Dyspraxia would be highly advantageous.
4. Experience and expertise in sport, music, woodwork or gardening is desirable.
5. A good understanding of Restorative Practice is also desirable.
6. Candidates must be able to work well as part of a team, be flexible, display strong work ethic and demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training.
7. Where applicable please furnish a certified copy of a completed Special Needs Assistant Form (PF1).
