Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
This is 0.5 of a post, 16 hours per week.
The successful applicant must be flexible with the hours worked and the hours are subject to change.
Applicants who are deemed members of the the SNA Supplementary Panel, with supplementary panel rights, must furnish a certified copy of a completed panel form - PF1 with their application.
Minimum Qualifications as per DES Circular 51/ 2019
Experience and understanding of working with children with ASD.
Primary Care Needs may include:
- Assist teachers to support children with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
- Assist teachers to provide supervision in the class, playground and school grounds.
- Assist with care needs requiring frequent interventions including withdrawal of a pupil from the class for movement breaks and when essential.
