An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Initial duties of the post are those of a mainstream teacher, but that is subject to change.
In order to be eligible for appointment to this position, candidates must hold a Certificate to teach R.E.
In addition, the following skills and experience are desirable: full probation; previous experience of teaching in a DEIS school; experience in the implementation and evaluation of guided and paired reading initiatives; experience of implementing behaviour management skills; experience of multi-grade teaching.
Please detail these skills and experience (including details of your certificate in RE) in your letter of application.
Your application must be accompanied by the contact details of a minimum of three referees, 1 of whom must be your current or most recent employer.
Candidates called to interview will be required to provide proof of qualifications, teaching practice grades and current Teaching Council Registration.
Envelopes must be clearly marked "Teaching Position Application."
Appointment will be subject, but not limited to, satisfactory references, Teaching Council Registration, compliance with current Garda vetting requirements and OHS.
A minimum number of 3 eligible applications are required in order for this competition to proceed.
