Job description
The Wind in the Willows Preschool is looking for dedicated, creative and dynamic person to join our team.
All applicants must have a minimum level 6 in Early Years and some experience working with children. Level 7 would be an advantage.
The ideal candidate will have:
· Good working knowledge of Aistear
· Kindness, warmth and responsiveness to the needs of children
· Good interpersonal and communication skills with children, staff and parents
· Ability to work in partnership with other staff
· First Aid/ manual handling/child protection certificate
· Experience working within ECCE scheme
· Good health and safety awareness
Duties include:
· To take day-to-day responsibility for children
· Conduct observations of children and take note of their emerging interests
· Plan and implement learning experiences
· Follow the policies and procedures of the service at all times
· Work as a part of a team
· Attend staff meetings and undertake training as required
· To develop ongoing positive relationships with parents
· Perform any other reasonable duties that may be assigned from time to time
This is a 5 day week; Monday -Friday (8.45am-11.45pm) & a 38 week sessional post, which might be extended later on to a second session (12.15-15.15)
