An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The Board of Management of St. Joseph’s school invites applications for the following SNA posts:
-full-time post for full academic year made of .41 permanent post and .59 fixed term post
-one.41 fixed term post for full academic year
-one .5 fixed term post for full academic year
St. Joseph's school caters for pupils aged 4 to 18 years with Mild General Learning disabilities and other additional needs. St. Joseph's school is under the patronage of the Diocese of Waterford and Lismore. The successful candidate will be expected to respect and support the Catholic ethos of the school as part of their role within the school community.
Experience of working in a special school/special class setting is desirable. Candidates must demonstrate practical experience with promotion of positive behaviour strategies, an ability to be flexible within a team and display a strong work ethic. Evidence of CPD in the area of Special Education is advantageous as well as displaying a commitment to ongoing CPD engagement.
