Eolas Breise:
Belmayne Community Special school, under the patronage of DDLETB, caters for students aged between 4-18 years with a dual diagnosis of Autism and Moderate or Severe learning difficulties and complex needs, invites applications for a special class teacher.
Experience working with students with additional needs and an understanding of ASD is desirable. The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge and/ or experience of using PECS, Lámh, VB-MAPP & ABLLS assessment and Positive Behaviour management strategies is an advantage. Level 6 qualification is desirable.
Appointments are subject to satisfactory references, vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
The SNA provides the necessary non-teaching services to pupils with assessed educational needs. The SNA acts in a care and support role that is non-teaching in nature and works under the guidance and supervision of the Principal, Deputy Principal and class teacher.
