An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Belmayne Community Special school, under the patronage of DDLETB, caters for students aged between 4-18 years with a dual diagnosis of Autism and Moderate or Severe learning difficulties and complex needs, invites applications for a special class teacher.
Experience working with students with additional needs and an understanding of ASD is desirable. The successful candidate must be able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge and/ or experience of using PECS, Lámh, VB-MAPP & ABLLS assessment and Positive Behaviour management strategies is an advantage.
Appointments are subject to satisfactory references, current teaching council registration, vetting requirements and occupational health screening.
