An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

St Patrick's School is a Special School catering for students with a Moderate to Severe / Profound general learning disability. Some students have an additional diagnosis of Autism, epilepsy hearing or visual impairment and use Augmented Communication Devices. Many of our pupils have multiple disabilities.
There are 3 permanent position and 3 full time fixed term positions.
It is essential that applicants demonstrate the specific competencies and requirements in Special Education and intimate care of children, including epilepsy and manual handling. The use of PECS, LAMH, AAC device and the TEACCH approach are desirable, as is an SNA qualification at level 5 or above. All school staff are expected to engage in relevant CPD, have a strong work ethic and respect the ethos of the school.
Candidates are required to be positive, flexible and work well in a team environment.
