Details of the role and recruitment procedures relating to this open recruitment process for the role of Deputy Principal may be found in Department of Education Circular 44/2019. Please note in particular that:
1. (as the school has 80+ pupils) Applicants must be "Fully registered under Route 1 (Primary) with the Teaching Council and have 5 years recognised teaching service, two of which must be in a recognised primary school within the Republic of Ireland."
2. The selection of the successful candidate shall be based on four competencies which are aligned to the Quality Framework for Leadership and Management :
Domain One: Leading Teaching and Learning
Domain Two: Managing the organisation
Domain Three: Leading school development
Domain Four: Developing leadership capacity
