The successful candidate should have a commitment to continue to strengthen the Catholic ethos of the school and must have a recognised qualification to teach Religious Education.
The following skills and experiences are highly desirable;
Experience in a similar role in a multi-grade environment;
Effective interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, staff, the Board of Management and wider school community;
Experience in the development, implementation, operation and evaluation of innovative school-based initiatives.
An ability and commitment to work in partnership with the Board of
Management and the Principal in furthering the aims of the school;
Specific Roles and Responsibilities for this position relate to the four domains of Leadership and Management, taken from ‘Looking at our School, 2022: A Quality Framework for Primary Schools and Special Schools’.
1. Leading Teaching and Learning 2. Managing the Organisation
3. Leading School Development
4. Developing Leadership Capacity
The successful candidate will be required to provide proof of qualifications.
Appointment to this position will be subject, but not limited to successful, OHS, Garda Vetting, current and continuing Teaching Council Registration, satisfactory references and proof of qualifications.
A minimum number of three applicants are required in order to proceed to interview stage.
