The Board of Management wishes to invite expressions of interest in a permanent vacancy, with initial duties as a shared Special Education Teacher from teachers listed on the Supplementary Panel for the Diocese of Limerick. This position is a shared SET role with Scoil Naomh Íde as the base school. The successful candidate must have access to travel to the other school in the cluster. The job description and role described is subject to change.

The following skills, experience and qualifications are desirable:
• Experience of teaching in a similar sized co-educational school/ in a multi class setting.
• Third Level postgraduate qualification or evidence of ongoing CPD in Special Education would be advantageous.
• Experience in the following areas will be advantageous:
Aistear, Literacy Lift-Off, IEP’s, Standardised Testing, Guided Reading, Running Records, IT for SEN, Team-Teaching in Literacy and Numeracy.
• Interests/skills/experience in Music and IT are advantageous.
• The successful candidate must be able to work effectively with the class teachers and drawing up of suitable IEPs is required.
Scoil Naomh Íde is a Catholic school and the successful applicant would be required to have the necessary qualification to teach religion.
Your application must also be accompanied by the contact details of a minimum of 3 professional references. Candidates called to interview will be required to provide proof of qualifications, Teaching Council registration and teaching practice grades.
Appointment will be subject to Teaching Council Registration, current Vetting requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
