An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

The Board of Management of Scoil Mhuire GNS, Lucan invites applications for the position of Administrative Principal. The post is effective from 1st September 2022.
The school is a vertical, all-girls, mainstream primary school with one ASD class under the patronage of the Catholic Archbishop of Dublin.
Applicants must be fully registered with the Teaching Council and must have a minimum of five years of teaching experience.
The roles and responsibilities for the post of Principal are aligned to the four domains of leadership and management as specified in Circular 0044/2019:
1. Leading teaching and learning.
2. Managing the organisation.
3. Leading school development.
4. Developing leadership capacity.
Applicants should demonstrate:
1. A commitment to supporting the Catholic Ethos of the school
2, A good understanding of Leadership, Management, and Administration in a primary school context
3. Proven interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
4. Proven ability to implement school-based initiatives, manage school teams, and lead the school community.
