An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

St Michaels N.S. has been designated as a base school for the Primary Schools Supply Panel Pilot Scheme. The purpose of the Supply Panel Pilot Scheme is to provide substitute cover in a designated cluster of schools, for teachers who are absent on short term substitutable leave. This position provides an opportunity to gain experience in a variety of class and school settings.
Supply panel teachers:
- will be appointed by St Michael’s NS (the base school) under a fixed term contract
-Travel expenses will be payable to the supply panel teacher as per Circular 0009/2015
-Supply teachers on this panel will work as per the base school (St. Michael’s N.S.) school calendar 2021/22
