An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Catherine McAuley Special School caters for pupils with Mild General Learning Disabilities at both primary and post primary levels. The Board of Management is seeking applications from SNAs with appropriate qualifications. . The school also has 4 ASD classes at present and 22 classes for pupils with Mild General Learning Disabilities with 22 SNAs in total. Valid PF1 forms must be submitted if applicable.

Appointment will be subject to current vetting requirements and occupational health screening. Please ensure that you fulfil the requirements of the advert so that your application can be considered. Candidates must be positive, flexible and work well in a team environment. The successful candidates must be willing to engage in relevant CPD, have a strong work ethic and respect the ethos of the school.

Knowledge of Special Education in general and ASD is desirable. All applicants must be willing to work in all areas of the school environment. Candidates must be available for ‘Croke Park’ inservice for 2 days prior to opening.
