An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

This is a teaching post with initial duties in the mainstream classes but this may be subject to change.

All school staff are expected to engage in relevant CPD, have a strong work ethic and respect for the school ethos. Candidates are required to be positive, flexible and work well in a team environment.

Appointment will be subject to current Garda Vetting requirements, Teaching Council Registration, Occupational Health screening and completion of the on-line TUSLA Child Safeguarding training. Leighlinbridge N.S. is a Catholic school therefore; a recognised qualification to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is essential.
The successful candidate must be ready to start school for a staff training day on Monday 30th August 2021. The school opens to children on Tuesday the 31st August 2021.
