An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

This is a Part time post 0.83 which has been sanctioned through the SNA scheme in order to provide communication support through Irish Sign Language (ISL) for a specific student. Therefore a qualification in, and proficiency in ISL is a requirement of the post. SNA redeployment will not affect this ISL SNA post as this sanction is for a post over and above the allocation to the school granted by the NCSE.
The successful candidate will also be required to support the school to up-skill its whole capacity in ISL.
This additional post will remain in position only for as long as the particular needs in relation to ISL remain in the school.
