An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Applications are invited for the position of Fixed Term Temporary Special Class Teacher in Phoenix Park Specialist School (Roll no. 19500B).
Phoenix Park Specialist School is a non-denominational, specialist placement primary school for pupils experiencing Severe Emotional Disturbance and/or Behavioural Problems (Severe EBD)
There is a high emphasis on Nurture in the school and all aspects of school life are underpinned by a nurturing approach. The school has an award-winning Nurture Group on site, which plays an integral role in the success of pupils during their placement in the school and in their re-integration back into mainstream.
A post-graduate qualification in Special Education and/or qualifications & experience of crisis deescalation / intervention (e.g. CPI Pivotal MAPA) are desirable, but not essential.
To apply you must be currently registered with the Teaching Council for the purpose of Primary teaching (Special Schools - Route 1 (Primary), Route 4 (Other) excluding Route 4 (2) Post Primary), in accordance with circulars 31/2011, 25/2013, 52/2013 & 44/2019.
Formal interviews to be held between Wednesday 23rd & Friday 25th September 2020 between 10am and 4pm at Linn Dara CAMHS, Cherry Orchard Hospital Campus, Dublin 10.
