The Board of Management invites applications from eligible teachers for the position of Deputy Principal of Scoil Mhuire, Killorglin.
The post of Deputy Principal will be filled in accordance with the terms of Circular 0044/2019. The roles and responsibilities for this post relate to the four domains of leadership and management as specified in Circular 0044/2019. See Chapter 4, section 10.
The Deputy Principal occupies a position of vital importance within the leadership team at Scoil Mhuire, co-operating with the Principal in the fulfilment of the Principal’s role and acting or deputising as the Principal in the Principal’s absence. Besides the discharge of specific administrative and management duties, the Deputy Principal also exercises a vital leadership and motivational role in the school.
Applications should arrive by 3 pm on the specified closing date and should be marked 'Application for Post of DP'.
Scoil Mhuire is a Catholic school under the patronage of the Bishop of Kerry, and applicants should have a Certificate to teach Catholic religious education.
Appointment will be subject to but not limited to: Satisfactory References, Current Teaching Council Registration, Vetting Requirements, Occupational Health Screening.
