An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

This is a part-time position (0.5 of full post) which equals 16 hours per week or 3hrs 12 mins per day.

Candidates must work well as a team member, be flexible and demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training, if necessary. Previous experience of working with children with various additional needs in the mainstream classroom setting is desirable.

Appointments are subject to compliance with the National Vetting Bureau (Children and Vulnerable Persons) Acts 2012 to 2016 and with relevant circulars.
