Sacred Heart of Jesus NS is a large, modern, vibrant and dynamic school in Huntstown, Dublin 15 comprising of 32 mainstream classes, 3 classes for children with ASD, 13 SET positions, 4 EAL positions, principal and deputy principal.
The post advertised is for a maternity leave position in one of our three ASD classes. The class has 6 pupils and will have the support of two SNAs. The pupils in the class integrate into our mainstream classes for portions of each day.
Experience of teaching children with ASD in a primary Special Education or Special Class setting is essential.
