An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
The two full time MCT positions in Kilcummin N.S. are to cover one Career Break and one Job Share position (which has been arranged internally) for the 2019/2020 school year. The two positions are full-time Mainstream Class positions initially, but this may be subject to change. Applicants must have a certificate to teach RE. Understanding and commitment to the ethos of a Catholic school is also essential.
The following are advantageous:
Knowledge of the SEN MODEL, ICT, in particular Assistive Technology, and team teaching
Knowledge of evidence-based interventions, assessment and planning, particularly in senior classes
A willingness to promote and participate in the life and extra-curricular activities of the school, particularly Green Schools, sport, Active Schools, JEP, fundraising, and a commitment and understanding of rural communities.
