An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Bunscoil na Toirbhirte is a Presentation School in the parish of Mitchelstown for over 160 years. There are 14 mainstream classes. There are boys and girls in the infant classes, and girls only from 1st-6th class. There is a highly organised Special Education Team and this year the school has opened its first Special Class for children with ASD.
Candidates must show an ability to
• manage and lead a staff team
• be committed to promoting professional development
• possess excellent interpersonal communication skills
• be enthusiastic and willing to work as a team member in a
collaborative work environment including visiting Multi- Disciplinary Team members
