Sessional Tutor of Biology and Chemistry

Sessional Tutor of Biology and Chemistry
Teaching approx. 15-20 hours per week, scheduled flexibly to candidates requirements where possible.
We are currently looking for a qualified teacher of Biology and Chemistry to teach on our International Foundation Year (QQI Level 6) commencing from September 2018. Applicants will be Masters qualified with experience of teaching international students in a university environment. A teaching qualification is desirable. A student-centred approach, and good IT and organisational skills are essential. They will be excellent communicators, proactive teachers, patient mentors and, above all, passionate about helping students achieve their goals.
In addition to this, they will ideally be familiar with creating online and offline learning material, and have basic administration skills (e.g. filing, Microsoft Office). They will be proactive, creating new learning material where needed and flagging up any student progression or welfare issues.
