An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Candidates must have a certificate to teach R.E. in a Catholic school and a commitment to the ethos of a Catholic School. Applications by post only. Envelopes should be clearly marked "Principal Application". Applications to be received no later than Friday 8th June 2018. A minimum of three eligible applicants must be received in order for the competition to proceed. In addition the following skills, experience and knowledge are desirable. Proven ability to work as a member of a team; Excellent communication skills; Experience in prioritising, planning, and organising workload; Proven Leadership Skills; Experience in the development, implementation, operation and evaluation of innovative school based initiatives; Candidates called for interview will be required to provide proof of qualifications and teaching council registration. Appointment will be subject, but not limited to; Satisfactory references; Current and Continuing Teaching Council Registration; current Vetting Requirements and Occupational Health Screening.
