POST DETAILS
Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
• Duties include supporting students with a variety of care needs, supporting students
with challenging behaviours and assisting children with intimate care/toileting needs.
• Candidates must have a strong work ethic, respect the ethos of the school, and be
flexible and willing to work as part of an enthusiastic and energetic team and to work
under the direction of the classroom teacher & School Principal.
• Relevant qualifications, as per DES requirements, are essential. Experience working
with children with ASD and children with intimate care needs desirable.
• Candidates must be flexible and demonstrate a willingness to avail of further
training.
• Applications by post only.
• Applicants who are deemed to be members of the SNA Supplementary Panel with
supplementary panel rights, must furnish a certified copy of a completed Panel
Form PF1 with their application.
• Appointment is subject to current Vetting requirements and Occupational Health
Screening.
• Our SNA allocation is subject to review at any time
• There are three posts available - one full day SNA position & 2 x infant day positions.
