We have just completed an extensive review of our school’s vision and mission, providing us direction for our upcoming curriculum review, as we look to ensure our students are prepared for the ever changing world of the future. We are a British style school drawing on the best academic practices from across the world. We have a high proportion of second language learners. We look to ensure our students have creative and challenging learning experiences that will prepare them for Advanced Levels and beyond. The school has been accredited by Qatar National Schools Accreditation (QNSA) and is a member of the British Schools of the Middle East (BSME).

About the role

We will look to you to promote high expectations for our students, designing learning activities that are aligned to our school’s curriculum and creating a learning culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved. You will challenge yourself and challenge your students to set ambitious targets for themselves as well as seek out and implement innovative teaching practices to enhance the student experience and outcomes. You will foster an environment of respect and hard work within the classroom, facilitating learning through questioning and discussion.

About you

Able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment, you will bring a degree and a recognised teaching qualification. It would be preferred if you can offer Geography, History and EAL at Key Stage 3, and at least Geography at Key Stage 4. The delivery of the Global Perspectives course by Cambridge, at both Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, is part of the remit of a Humanities teacher at NAISAK. The ability to also offer business studies at IGCSE level would be strongly advantageous.

Both experienced teachers and newly qualified teachers (NQTs) are encouraged to apply. Committed and creative, you will be reflective on your own teaching and student outcomes, seeking out and implementing new ideas and innovative practice to raise achievement.

You will embrace the role of Form Tutor and deliver personalised and dedicated care to your tutees. Keen to collaborate and share your specialist expertise, you will be a fitting ambassador for the school. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with parents and students. You will also be able to meet visa-related restrictions.
