The initial duties are those for a mainstream class teacher. This is a fixed term contract until June 27th 2018. The successful candidate will be teaching 3rd and 4th class initially. It should be noted that these duties may be subject to change.
A minimum number of 5 eligible applications are required for this competition to proceed.
The following skills, experience and qualifications are desirable:
* Experience in facilitating student learning.
* Assessing and reporting student learning outcomes.
* Creating and maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.
* Forming partnerships within the school community.
* Commitment to professional learning.
* Evidence of strong behaviour management skills.
* Experience of teaching children with special needs in a mainstream setting.
* Experience of teaching in a multi-grade setting.
* Full probation.

In order to be eligible for appointment candidates for this position must have a Certificate to teach R.E. Appointment will be subject but not limited to: Satisfactory references; Teaching Council Registration; Current Garda Vetting requirements; Occupational Health Screening.
