Additional Information:
Applicants must possess the minimum required standard of education for appointment to the post of Special Needs Assistant. Specific competencies to meet the special educational needs of secondary school students with autism in an ASD Unit are required for this position. Second Level Expertise and/or Continuous Professional Development in the areas of sensory processing, social communication, dealing with anxiety & transitions as well as positive behaviour management strategies is desirable.
