Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
Enable Ireland Sandymount School is a designated co-educational special school for pupils with a primary physical disability. Our School caters for students aged 4-18 years who may have high level of care needs. The post is fixed term (30 hours per week) for one year to substitute for staff member on career break.
Desirable Criteria
Level 5 SNA qualification
Training in the areas of feeding, manual / patient handling
Experience of intimate care needs such as toileting and personal care for both males and females to aged 18.
a minimum of 1 year experience in a special school setting
Experience/ training in alternative and augmentative forms of communication
Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Willingness to bring children to and from school for additional payment.
Shortlisting will apply.
Interviews will be hosted week beginning August 21st 2017.
Appointment is subject to Garda vetting, medical fitness and reference checking. .
