Linn Dara School is a special school for children and adolescents who are experiencing severe emotional behavioural disturbance, under the patronage of the HSE. Linn Dara School provides education for pupils admitted to the Linn Dara Inpatient CAMHS unit, the Linn Dara Adolescent Day Programme (both on the Cherry Orchard Hospital campus) and the Linn Dara School Transition Programme in Palmerstown. We operate for 183 school days annually, as per Rules of National Schools.
Applications are invited from qualified, experienced post-primary teachers of History and Geography for a Temporary Part Time Job Sharing teaching position for the school year 2017/18.
The successful candidate would ideally have experience of teaching adolescents with severe emotional/mental health difficulties and have training in Therapeutic Management of Violence and Aggression or similar. Experience in teaching any of the following would be advantageous: SPHE, Career Guidance/ Planning, CSPE, LCA, QQI Level 3 and 4 modules. Travel between sites is a requirement of this position.

Only fully qualified and probated teachers will be shortlisted for interview. Interviews will take place in late August.
The successful candidate will be asked to provide documentary evidence of qualifications, Teaching Council confirmation of registration and compliance with current Garda vetting requirements.
A panel of suitable applicants will be set up to fill any vacancies which may occur within a four month period from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
