Panel of Applicants:
An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
There are two jobs being advertised:
1. Fixed term Fulltime position for 1 year.
2. Fixed term Shared Part- time position for 1 year.
(12.5 hrs at Scoil Chríost Rí, Enniscrone, Co Sligo and 6.78hrs at St. Michael’s National School, Ballina, Co Mayo Roll number 12792F. Total Part Time hrs: 19.28hrs. (We are awaiting results of an Appeal of our allocated SET hrs so these hrs may increase. Applicants will be informed as soon as we know.)
Please indicate in your letter of application if you wish to be interviewed for both jobs.
Initially duties for these posts will be that of Special Education Teacher, however, it should be noted that duties may be subject to change.
The candidate must be fully probated and ideally have experience dealing with ADHD, Autism ,EBD and in managing the resulting challenging behaviour. The understanding of Multi-Sensory Integration Programmes would be a distinct advantage. First Aid qualifications and computer competence would be highly desirable.
