Jonah Special School invite applications for a fixed term teacher position starting 1st September 2017 to cover a career break. Jonah Special School is a school for students with autism and complex needs, aged 4 to 18 years. The successful candidate should have significant experience teaching students with autism and complex needs from 14 years plus along with showing willingness to work as part of a team and participate in school activities. Evidence of CPD in positive behaviour strategies and autism along with experience teaching the new junior cert level 2/3 would be advantageous. Candidates must be registered with the Teaching Council and should demonstrate a willingness to avail of further training. A panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a four month period from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
