An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.
Additional Information:
St. Joseph's Special School would like to invite applications for the position of SNA with initial duties in a class for students with ASD. The curriculum is modified according to the individual learning needs of students, through the provision of an Individual Education Plan. The age profile of students ranges from 4 yrs to 18 yrs. Experience of working as part of a team in a busy school environment is advantageous. Applicants must demonstrate knowledge and experience of working with children with a Moderate, Severe/ Profound GLD, ASD, ADHD, Physical Disabilities and social Care Needs in a special school setting. The school also supports students with MGLD.
