An internal panel of suitable applicants may be set up to fill vacancies which may occur within a specific time period (four months for teacher posts and the duration of the school year for SNA posts) from the date on which the Board approves the successful candidate.

Additional Information:

St Raphael’s Special School caters for pupils within the moderate to the severe/profound range of intellectual disability. Experience of working with pupils that present with challenging behaviours and who are within the Autistic Spectrum Disorder would be advantageous.
The school has two vacancies for temporary Special Class teachers (maternity cover) and also wishes to establish a Substitute panel of suitable teachers to cover staff absences. Manual handling training with client handling/patient moving including use of hoists will be given following appointment and prior to commencement of duties.
