The Dublin Steiner School is looking for a person to fill the position of Principal and Primary School Teacher to lead the teaching department and First Class teacher, from September 2017.
Our ideal candidate is experienced in the Steiner/Waldorf classroom and passionate about educating ‘the whole child’. You will have excellent leadership and management skills, and be active in developing our school programme to deliver the national curriculum in line with the principles of Steiner/Waldorf education.
Qualifications required:
· It is essential that the candidate is familiar with the underlying principles of Steiner education, ideally with 3 years’ experience teaching in a Steiner setting.
· A recognised Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree OR
· A recognised Graduate/Higher Diploma in Education (Primary) in combination with a primary degree
at level 8 or a qualification at level 9 on the National Framework of Qualifications.
About us:
Established in 2009, the Dublin Steiner School is the only Steiner school in Dublin and has grown to 2 Kindergarten classes (ages 3 to 6), which includes the Junior/Senior Infant programme. We are an urban school located in the historic "Liberties" area of Dublin, with an active parent and local community.
Two-year contract (6 months probation). Competitive salary.
